Know Before You Go

Attendance is Free

It is free to attend the Van Go Art Fair. Browse art, listen to music, enter the costume contest or just enjoy the show. Purchasing art, food and beverages are the only costs.

Fair Funds

All food, beverages, and art are available for purchase with cash or credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. ATM machines are conveniently located at Austin Bank on Highway 16 in Van.

Coolers & Bottled Water

Coolers are not allowed or any outside food or beverages.

Parking

The main parking lot is located on CR 1528 next to the main entrance. Some street parking is available with two other entrances.

Information Booth

Be sure to stop by the Van Go InFo booth to learn more about the fair and the Van Zandt Arts & Cultural District. Commemorative T-shirts and koozies are also for sale while supplies last.

Pets

Pets and service animals are allowed on leashes or carriers only and owners are expected to clean up after them. People with pets that do not clean up will be asked to leave the event area, enforced by city ordinance.

Getting Here

Van is about one hour east of Dallas and two hours west of Shreveport just off Interstate 20. Van City Park is located at 300 VZCR 1527, Van, Texas 75790. From Dallas take Interstate 20 to Exit #537. At the FM 773 stop sign go straight on the service road to State Highway 16. Turn left on 16 and go 2 miles to CR 4519. Turn left and follow the signs to the park. From Shreveport, take Interstate 20 to Exit #539 and Highway 314. Turn right on 314 and that dead ends into 16/Main Street. Turn left and go about 2 miles to CR 4519. Turn right and follow the signs to the park.

Accommodations

The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott is located in Van and the only hotel in the Van Zandt Arts & Cultural District. In addition to the Van Go Art Fair, this weekend nearby Canton hosts the “world famous” First Monday Trade Days which can cause area hotels to book up fast. Be sure to book early if you need accommodations to attend this event. Besides the Fairfield, there are numerous Air BnBs, Bed & Breakfasts, and Cabin and RV Retreats in the area.
